' CHHAVAA ' FILM CHARMS : HONOURS



ALIA BHATT praises Vicky Kaushal''s performance in '' Chaava ''. ' Bad Newz ' actor plays Maratha King in the historical drama.

Days after the release of Laxman Utekar's '' Chhaava, '' Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt took to Instagram to praise Vicky Kaushal's performance in the film. 

'' Vicky Kaushal '' What are you? Cannot get over your performance in Chhaaval '' Alia wrote later.

The historical drama follows the Deccan Wars of the late 17th century.  

'' Shivaji's death sparks the Maratha Mughal conflict. His son Sambhaji leads resistance against Aurangzeb's forces.

Amid battles and intrigue, both sides face challenge in a struggle for power,'' reads the synopsis.

In 2018, Vicky and Alia led the cast in Meghna Gulzar's film Raazi. The duo will soon be seen together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film, Love & War, which is slated for March 2026. The film also stars Alia's Alia's Husband, Ranbir Kapoor.

Aside from praising Vicky's portrayal of the Maratha King Chhatrapati Sambhaji, Rocky aur Rani Ki  Prem Kahani actor also penned her appreciation for the rest of the cast and crew of the film.

'' Akshaye Khanna, one of my favorite actors on screen! As Aurangzeb, you were incredible. Rashmika Mandanna was so, so beautiful. Those eyes !'' Alia wrote.

'' Congratulations, Laxman Utekar, sir, for this wonderful movie and all the love and praise that is coming your way.''

Another Bollywood star to dispense a load for praise for the film was Katrina Kaif, who is married to Vicky.

'' What a cinematic experience, and what a monumental task to bring to life the glory of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaja,'' she wrote in an Instagram grid post.

In her note, Katrina also lauded the director's hand at storytelling.

''Laxman Utekar tells this incredible story in the most brilliant way. I'm wanting in awe. The last forty minutes of the film will leave you speechless. I've spent all morning to go and re-watch it again,'' she expressed.

'' I'm at a loss for words at the impact of this film.''
