IMF REPRESENTATIVE PELTED WITH EGGS AT ULUDAG UNIVERSITY

Mark Lewis, representative of International Monetary Fund ( IMF ) was delivering a speech to economics students at Uludag University when the students started chanting "IMF get out" slogans. Moroever, they hurled eggs at him. Meanwhile another group of students unfurled anti-IMF banners. 

At least one student was injured and taken to hospital for treatment, when clashes erupted as the university's security officers were taking protesting students away. 

The majority of people in Turkey opposes the policies of IMF in Ankara.
