India: Students Clash On-Campus

CUTTACK, India: Local students of Ravenshaw University clashed with their Afghan counterpart on-campus over a car-parking issue resulting in one of the former getting injured. The local students were talking amongst themselves when the Afghan student reportedly misunderstood some of it leading to an exchange of harsh words between them which later turned violent.

The incident follows a similar clash in January between the Afghan students, studying under the student exchange programme of Indian Council for Cultural Relations, and the local students, with the latter leaving the campus in protest only to return after the government took responsibility of their security.
