A small number of protesters held a sit-in at the University of Starthclyde as several universities across Scotland announced plans for a fee-rise for future non-Scottish students from the rest of the UK. The University of Starthclyde, on Tuesday, approved a plan of charging a fee of £9000 per year from students belonging to England, Ireland and Wales. The decision follows similar announcements made by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the University of Edinburgh.
