The 39th American Music Awards (AMAs)

The American Music industry's A-listers gathered on Sunday, November 20 to celebrate some of the most memorable musical moments of 2011. The awards held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles including performances from Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez and Katy Perry.

The award show was opened with a joint performance of Nicki Minaj and David Guetta. The two stars joined forces to get the room jumping with their track Turn Me On and Super Bass.

The young country singer Taylor Swift dominated the 2011 AMAs, winning every award for which she was nominated.
