Afghan Students Protest Against Any Pact With US

Jalalabad, Afghanistan -- About 2000 tribal elders endorsed the idea of an agreement with the US that might allow its troops to stay in Afghanistan after 2014 in a conference on Saturday. The agreement is going to be backed with conditions such as an end to night raids and complete Afghan control over detainees.

Protesting university students however said they would not accept any such pact. Blocking the road to Kabul, the students in Jalalabad city chanted slogans of "Death to America!Death to Karzai!".
