Avalanche on Mars

NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) captured this stunning image of an avalanche rolling down an escarpment in the northern polar region

According to Discovery, the photograph is a proof that Mars is NOT a dead planer, as has been debated over years.Mars avalanches consist of dust, rock and ices and are triggered by the heating up of Martian atmosphere. This so happens as the northern hemisphere enters springtime.
