iPhones Still More Popular for Browsing than iPads in Australia: Report
iPads are selling like hot cakes in US instead of iPhone as mentioned by the US web analytics firm. According to comScore iPhone has retained a share of 42.6% and on the other hand iPads are having 46.8% in August. What about Australia?
The creative director of IMG sports technology group Danny Bishop has told new.com.au that Australia is far behind in internet browsing. He said;
Most of the clients I work with aren't seeing that – yet. In general, iPhone browsing is about 2 to 2.5 times more common than iPad. But the numbers are growing pretty quickly. Just three months ago that figure was more likely to be three to four times.
The expert of web analyst has said that the inability of Australia to keep has much to do with size of tablet. Bishop said that Smartphone is much more mature than tablet market in Australia. Android market in US is quite bigger but in Australia iPhones are much more common as compared to America. According to him if the situation goes on then iPad will take over iPhone. So in order to maintain its position iPhone has to work harder in order to have dominance in Tablet market and smartphone. He said that Apple did not have to work a lot because of no competition in the market but now it is not the same case.
