"Monstrous" Eruption in the Congo

Nyamulagira, an active volcano in the Virunga Mountains of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, situated about 25 km north of Lake Kivu (Wiki) erupted recently  expelling out lava, smoke, and ash throughout Virunga National Park.

"It's mesmerizing and hard to pull your eyes away from it", said the park's Communication Officer Luanne Cann. It may continue erupting for weeks or even months, he added.
