Pakistan won the first one-day international as Srilanka crumbled to 131 runs. Shahid Afridi, returning to international cricket after six months, inspired Pakistan triumph.
Aizaz Cheema bowled dilshan in second over that triggered the nightmare for the Sri Lankan team. Abdur Razzak claimed the wicket of in form Sangakara and then Hafeez got rid of Tharanga (24) to brake the progressing 3rd wicket partnership. The procession continued as the whole team collapsed at 131*.
After early fall of Muhammad Hafeez, Imran Farhat and Younis Khan both scored half centuries to guide Pakistan to a comfortable win.
The next one-day match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be played on Nov 14,2011.
