Scientists have discovered particles which travel faster than the speed of light, these super speed particles are called neutrinos, this is a contradiction to Einstein’s well renowned theory of relativity whose foundation is declaration of light as the fastest entity in universe. Researchers on the Opera (Oscillation Project with Emulsion-tRacking Apparatus) experiment recorded their speed by sending a beam of neutrinos from CERN laboratory to Gran Sasso lab through Earth. After observation of 3 years their result shows speed of neutrinos to be greater than that of speed of light by a fraction of 20 parts per million. According to theory of relativity if there would be some such particle it would be practically possible to roll back in time.

This is an old news (relativly speakng) & on top of that it was later proved to be a calculation mistake

ReplyDelete2.Yes the theory was negated by some scientists in past but now the debate is up again. It is true that scientists say they still "want more for confirmation", but the previous arguments have been addressed much in detail now.
