Singer Keith Urban to have Throat Surgery

Country singer Keith Urban who is also husband of the actress Nicole Kidman, is expected to undergo a minor throat surgery to remove a polyp from his vocal chords, later this month. Part of the recovery process requires the singer to be on complete vocal rest for which he has to postpone numerous scheduled performances. But he said he will be honoring his "pre-existing one-song performance commitments" leading up to his procedure at the end of this month. All other appearances will be rescheduled in the new year.
