Student Out To Drive Out On-Campus Smoking

Arizona District--In an effort to prevent passive smokers from inhaling the disastrous effects of smoking without consent, student Emile Gordon has been out on an initiative to drive out on-campus smoking. Gordon, a student of microbiology, molecular and cellular biology and human physiology, believes that the people should be told that "we are not OK with the current status quo".
Gordon's proposal, if accepted, would ban smoking throughout the campus with no exceptions for special smoking areas. This could lead to a conflict with non-smokers, because it would be an infringement upon the rights of smokers, as claimed by one student. Other students welcome the initiative believing that schools should be "environmentally healthy".
