Therapy Dogs Help Students Release Stress

Hundreds of students flocked to Miller Hall this Thursday vying for a chance to play with therapy dogs in an attempt to lessen their stress.

The event, organized by Miller Resident Advisers Chelsey Ott and Kamden Segawa in collaboration with Dogs Building Opportunities for Nurturing and Emotional Support (Dog B.O.N.E.S.), was an effort to use therapy dogs to alleviate the stress that students face during exam days. Students found the interaction a "nice, relaxing way to de−stress", according to sophomore Rebecca Allen.

These dogs usually undergo training to become special therapy dogs and are normally older than puppies.
