Wednesday: Hackers 'Hack' Water Pump

A water treatment utility that pumps water to thousands of residents in a city in Illinois, has allegedly been destroyed by hackers having access to the service's network. 

News about the 8 November incident first surfaced via a blog run by Joe Weiss who quotes a report by the Illinois Statewide Terrorism and Intelligence Center. According to the report, issues in the remote access system of the utility had been present for months before the attack which is the latest in a series targeting critical infrastructure via cyber-crime.
