Ever called your psychology teacher by a nickname behind her back? Why not, it's cool isn't it? Well no, it is NOT cool!

It is utter disrespect for someone who holds not one but multiple rights on you. She is an adult and a teacher. Someone to be valued for the mere reason that she is imparting knowledge to you.

I understand that the capitalistic value of this knowledge has lessened the importance of the teacher, but nonetheless respect is what you as a younger person ought to give. Just imagine how it would feel like if someone you considered a junior happened to pass derogatory remarks behind your back while maintaining a pretentious 'Jee-Huzoor' (Yes, Sir!) facade in front of you. Feels insulting, doesn't it? That is precisely what your teacher will feel!
