Barcelona lift the Club World Cup trophy

Barcelona celebrate after winning the Club World Cup Title

Yokohama, December 18: Lionel Messi scored two wonder goals as European champions Barcelona out-classed the Brazilians Santos 4-0 to lift the Club World Cup on Sunday.
The Argentinian striker scored the opener in the 17th minute, clipping a shot over the goalkeeper Rafael Cabral after latching on to a clever ball from Xavi.
It was all Barca and they went further ahead on 24 minutes, full-back Alves driving down the right wing and cutting inside to set up a pinpoint pass to Xavi who, after beating one defender, rifled the ball past a horribly exposed keeper.
Barcelona continued dominating the attack and Cesc Fabregas scored the 3rd goal just before the break. Less than a minute after the break Fabregas missed a goal set up by Messi and  then Neymar went up the other end and headed over when he should have scored.
Messi scored the second eight minutes from time, Dani Alves threaded the ball through to Messi who rounded he keeper to roll the ball into the net.
Puyol, who dedicated victory to Spain striker David Villa, who suffered a broken leg in Barca's 4-0 semi-final win over Qatar's Al Sadd, said "It may have looked easy but it certainly wasn't. The early goals made it easier for us."
"We never doubted ourselves and kept their forwards under control. It was a complete performance."
Barcelona became the first to win the Club World Cup twice since it became a seven-team Fifa competition.
Brazil's teenage Neymar said, "It's impossible to stop Barcelona. They are the best team in the world with fantastic players. But we are the second-best team in the world and for us that is a great reward."
