Cave system links Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire

A long awaited desired ambition of the British potholing has now been fulfilled after 83 years of exploration came to an end. An underground network of caves has now been linked forming a continuous underground connection of three counties namely Cumbria, Yorkshire and Lancashire.
A 300ft below the surface labyrinth of tunnels is connected forming a 70 mile continuous route. Individuals such as Geoff Yeadon, Tim Allen and Mick Nunwick are credited for this breakthrough in potholing.

The cave system is thought to be counted among top 10 world caving destinations.
