Crystal Palace stun Manchester United, Ferguson appologized

Crystal Palace celebrate as Manchester United feel disappointed
November 30: Manchester United suffered a 2-0 defeat by Crystal palace and were knocked out of the Carling Cup at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
Substitute Darren Ambrose put Palace ahead in the 65th minute hitting a incredible shot from 35 yards. Just three minutes later Federico Macheda equalised on a penalty.
Manchester United constantly attacked in the exrtra time but Murray headed on Ambrose's free kick in 8th minute of the extra time following Park ji Sung's foul on Zaha, who showed a brilliant bit of skill. Both Crystal Palace goals were scored by the substitues.
Alex Ferguson had made so many changes in the game using inexperienced players, Macheda, Diouf and Darron Gibson, and left out Wayne Rooney and Nemanja Vidic. He apologized to the Manchester United fans. "My apologies are to the fans today because that was not a Manchester United performance," said Ferguson.
