GCHQ Attracts Code Breakers Via A Challenge

The British intelligence agency GCHQ has launched a cryptography challenge on an unbranded standalone website in the form of a visual code which potential applicants are required to solve.

The agency is trying to attract new talent which according to the GCHQ spokesman "may not typically be attracted to traditional advertising methods and may be unaware that GCHQ is recruiting for these kinds of roles."

Once the code is broken, the applicants would be given a keyword to enter into a form field which would then direct them towards the recruitment website. Anyone guilty of illegal hacking in the past however, would be ineligible. The applicants are also required to be British citizens.
