Heavy Rainfall Can Cause Huge Earthquakes

According to one study, earthquakes are very much related to hurricanes. Scientists describe them as "one disaster causing the other", whereby the former refers to hurricanes. The disastrous earthquake of magnitude 7.0 that hit Haiti in early 2010 came only 18 months after Haiti had been victimized by several hurricanes and tropical storms. Similar incident was observed in Taiwan where a 6.4 magnitude earthquake hit by only seven months after a major hurricane.
