A Russian court case pondering possible ban of a Hindu holy book leaves Indian MPs angered.
While shouting that they would not "tolerate any insult to Lord Krishna", the MPs forced an adjournment of the parliament demanding the government "to impress upon the Russian authorities through diplomatic channels".
The prosecutors see the Hindu text, Bhagvad Gita, as one of extremist nature and are pushing to put it on the same list as Hitler's infamous Mein Kampf. Russia presently recognizes freedom of religion among its four major faiths of Islam, Buddhism, Christianity and Juaism.
