Apple has been fined by an Italian watchdog for "misleading product guarantees" (the BBC reports).
The fine, a sum of 900,000 euros, has been imposed for Apple's failure to inform customers of "their legal right to two years' technical support, recognizing instead only a one-year standard warranty" (BBC).
This lead to the buyers paying extra for the support service intersecting with the otherwise free of charge guarantee.
