Safari Trainee Student Killed By Mamba Bite

Nathan Layton, from Wing, dies of a mamba bite while on training in South Africa.

Layton, 28, got the bite while trying to put the snake into a glass jar in an attempt to remove it from the college campus. He however never realized that the snake had bitten him, only mentioning that the animal had brushed against him. An hour later he started complaining of blurred vision which was followed by a cardiac arrest that led to his death.

Layton was on a year-long safari guide training course in South Africa.
