Sturridge, Terry earns Chelsea a draw against Tottenham Hotspur

December 22: John Terry lead Chelsea to hold vibrant Tottenham for a draw as Tottenham and Chelsea remain on the 3rd and 4th position respectively on the table.

Emmanuel Adebyor scored the opener for the spurs on 7th minute. Sandro, after putting a meaty tackle on Mikel, passed to Gareth bale who crossed into the danger area where Cech unconvincingly wanted to claim it but Adebayor got a toe on it first.

Daniel Sturridge equalised on 23 minutes when Ashley Cole crossed him from the left and Sturridge grabbed the ball from close range to the bottom right corner of the goal.

 Chelsea’s captain saved the day for his team making an astonishing last-minute clearance, sliding across his six-yard box somehow getting his body in the way of a goalbound shot from Emmanuel Adebayor.
