Survey: UK Citizens Willing To Pay More For Green Environment!

A survey conducted by University of Sheffield as part of a project to demonstrate the economic value of green infrastructure in cities and regions. Participants of the survey were shown the images of how local areas could be developed in future and how much more can they pay for it?
On average members now pay £1.50 per month to maintain green spaces through council tax. And survey concluded that they were willing to pay up to £2.33 extra per month for large forest trees and grass landscaping.
However, people were willing to pay even extra £10.81 per month if the natural vegetation of the riverside was allowed to re-establish itself

Survey results show that people understand importance of green environments for a healthy living and encourage the projects for green space.
