15,000 Congolese likely to die of AIDS

DOCTORS Without Borders warns that 15,000 AIDS victims in Congo are likely to die in the next three years while waiting for lifesaving drugs.
It says health care access for AIDS patients is horrific and that many "will die in silence and neglect".
The organisation says only 44,000 people are receiving anti-retroviral treatment instead of about 350,000 among the more than one million Congolese infected with the HIV virus.
