A 6.3 magnitude earthquake has struck Peru's central coastline.
The quake, which struck just after midnight, had its epicentre some 15 km south-east of the city of Ica.
According to Peruvian officials around 60 people have been injured with the majority suffering from "trauma and cuts". Electricity supplies have been knocked out but there are no reports of major damage.
