Australia in control of second Test


India's Sachin Tendulkar is dismissed by Australia's James Pattinson.
Australian fast bowlers tore Indian batting line-up as India slumped to 191 (all out) in the first innings on the 1st day of the 2nd Test match on Tuesday. In reply, Captain Michael Clarke and former skipper Ricky Ponting left Australia in a strong position at the end of the day.
This was the 100 Test match at the Sydney Cricket Ground and the talks on Tendulkar's landmark were on the rise. But James Pattinson (4-43) along with Peter Siddle (3-55) dismantled Indian top order before restricting tourists to 191. 
Tendulkar (41) was bowled out by Pattinson for the sixth wicket before Hilfenhaus (3-51) dismissed Ashwin and Khan on successive balls. Earlier Pattinson dismissed Gambhir on the 3rd ball of the day. Dhoni played a vital innings of 57-runs, not-out, hitting 8 fours.
Indian paceman Zaheer Khan lead Indian bowling attack with style securing 3 early wickets before Ponting (44) and Clarke (47) put Australia in control lifting Australia from 37 to 116 runs for the forth wicket.
