British Capital Announces Dedicated Menswear Weekend

The British Fashion Council (BFC) announced January 23, the launch of a new dedicated menswear weekend dubbed "London Collections: Men," with Tom Ford and Christopher Bailey on the committee.

Expanding on the current one-day showcase tagged onto the end of London Fashion Week and running from June 15-17, the event will showcase labels such as Aquascutum, Christopher Raeburn, and J.W. Anderson.

"The menswear industry has been growing from strength to strength in past years and this is true testament to this, London Collections: Men will not only be a showcase for brands and designers but will form a cross cultural program creating a festival for Menswear in what will be a truly exciting year for the UK," BFC chairman Harold Tillman said in a release, making reference to additional cultural events scheduled for the debut showcase in honor of the Olympic Games.
