Google is making major changes to its home page, keeping in view their "overarching philosophy".
The new design removes the horizontal black bar at the top, replacing it with a grey logo instead. Clicking on this reveals a list of alternative services to the site's search page.

Keeping in line with Google's policy of not cluttering its front page, the new design retains its minimalist approach.
