Zaeem! Hazeem! Mahyna! Haniya!

''Special dedication for millions of students and millions of parents''.

Students Zaeem and Hazeem of elitist HeadStart were born to technology. Poor lads their parents have shooed them off the Facebook. Both these nerds can setup your cell phone and reboot your computer in a flash. And by loving extension, their two younger cousins Mahna and Hanyia are going to clone their activities. And it matters not a whit whether these boys and girls are a open book or a locked box. Technology is now their mothers milk. They all just need it and so, must have it.

So the question arises as to how should we prepare them for the future, one that very few can define. All parents and great teachers have a worrisome and worrying nature. They are all fearful for their children's future. But now the chnallenge for them is both technological and philosophical. How can we now watch over them lest they go astray and pick dirt.

One way is to fight fire with fire. We have a lot of technology that can act as  cybersitters or Webwatchers for the parents and log every stroke. For example SecuraPal could help you in many ways. But remember the collective wisdom of the World feels that any step taken will create false confidence more than actual control. The bitter truth is to help them with their judgement and to instill values.

Relying indefinitely on enforcements is counter productive. Parents forget that  children many time break rules as a rebellion against pressures that partly come from parents. Part of growing up is experimentation! So what the parents are experiencing is just messmaking.

Let the innocence continue, don't over react. Facebook and Technologies are a wonder and delight. Let them learn this trusting relationship with a growing pride. And when and if they learn and act, human natural goodness will take over.

Till then a very good night.
