Michael Clarke walks off unbeaten on 329 |
Michael Hussey scored 150 (not-out) as India could not claim a single wicket on the 3rd day until the hosts declared before Tea.
India started their 2nd innings under pressure and Virender Sehwag departed early, being caught brilliantly at point by David Warner on Ben Hilfenhaus ball.
Rahul Dravid (29) added 82 with Gautam Gambhir before he was bowled by Hilfenhaus. Gambhir hit consecutive fours in the opening over and struck nine boundaries in total. He was dropped on 66 by wicketkeeper Brad Haddin in the penultimate over and remained unbeaten on 68 at the close.
Sachin Tendulkar was struggling, eight not out from 42 balls, for his team and his 100th on before the close as India now stand on 114-2, still 354 runs behind.
