India suffers another humiliating defeat as Australia clinch series

Ben Hilfenhaus claimed 3 wickets in 5 balls
Perth, Jan 15: Indian batting collapsed once again as Australian fast bowlers proved their strength and guided Australia to an innings and 37 runs victory to lead the series 3-0.
Ben Hilfenhaus claimed three wickets in an over, dismissing Vinay Kumar, Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma, as Australia completed a fantastic victory over India in the 3rd day.
India started the day with 4 wickets down and required 120 runs to avoid an innings defeat. A 5th wicket stand of 84 runs between Rahul Dravid (47) and Virat Kohli (75) gave India a good hope but after Ryan Harris bowled out Rahul Dravid the remaining batsmen collapsed.
Peter Siddle nicked out MS Dhoni in the shadows of the interval, and Ben Hilfenhaus razed the tail with three wickets in five balls on resumption.

  1. I watched all three tests.Indians didn't have that fighting spirit.Very lazy and seniors doing just the wrong job.Instead of encouraging youngsters they where slowing things down.I can't believe the way Laxman behaves in the field.Club cricketers are more active.Selectors are trying to respect seniors.Well, seniors did well. Now its time to open doors for youngsters.Presence of these tired, out of form and lazy seniors actually supresss the spirit of youngsters.Remember T20 worldcup. All where fresh and young.Didn't have seniors influence. They had the freedom to play and they did triumph.

  2. It reminds me of Inzamzm-ul-Haq, who played well in his carrier but ruined his image playing at old age. Now Tendulkar is doing that for his ton.
