Luke Wright's fastest ton in BBL guides Stars to the victory

Wright swings one on the leg side
Luke Wright hit a thrilling century, the fastest in the Big Bash League, as Melbourne Stars beat Hobart Hurricanes with 19 runs.
Wright's opening partnership with Robert Quiney (62) was amazing as Australia fired to 172 in 16.4 overs, breaking the record partnership in the Big Bash, before Naveed-ul-Hassan dismissed Quiney.
Wright continued his extraordinary batting to score 117 from 60 deliveries with eight fours and nine sixes to leave the opponents stunned as Melbourne Stars reached 203 runs in 20 overs.
Habart Hurricanes started the chase with an early blow,  Phil Jaques being catch out at mid-on second ball of the innings. Hobart were reeling on 16 runs in the 3rd over before Birt smashed two sixes to come back into the match. He reached 51 runs from just 23 balls smashing 5 sixes and 3 fours before Mckay bowled him.
After Brit's departure run-rate declined but Owais Shah's courage, 55 from 37, kept Hobart in the game but when he fell to James Faulkner the chase was over. The Tasmanian left-armer claimed four important wickets for the Melbourne side although they came at a cost of 46.
Shane Warne (2-23) and Hussey cleared the tail-enders and with ease to restrain them from reaching the target.
