A Twitter account posing to be that of Rupert Murdoch's wife Wendi Deng is fake.
The news was confirmed by Murdoch's firm, News International, with the person behind the account tweeting: "Hello Twitter. As News International has finally come to their senses, it's time to confirm that yes, this is a fake account. I'm not Wendi."
The identity of the account's owner remains unknown, with the tweeter denying that he is Johnnie Marbles.
Marbles got sentenced to six weeks in prison - now reduced to four - for pushing a plate of foam into Murdoch's face at a House of Commons meeting.
