A Dangerous Escape

San Diego, United States: A suspected drunk driver when pulled over by the police in north of San Diego, jumped out of his pick-up and sped to the shoreline of Pacific ocean. Dressed in a jeans and a t-shirt, he dived into the sea and swam out of sight. The incident took place at 2:00 am. Life guards and a Coast guard helicopter immediately began the search.

Several hours later, his family called the police to inform that he was safe and would turn himself in. 

San Diego Police Department spokesman Andra Brown said :

"We ask that he call the San Diego Police Department so we know, indeed, that he is safe."
