Study Finds Bacteria in Unused Paper Towels

Researchers at Laval University in Canada have found bacteria including harmful ones (in terms of human health) in unused paper towels. They explain that these bacteria can easily be  transferred to human hands as well.
The study is published in the American Journal of Infection Control. It did not find any illnesses connected to paper towel use.
According to experts, the finding is especially alrming for people living in hospital isolation units and also ones with a weak immunity system. Such people need to be extra careful about contact with germs.
