Try yourself out!

By Sarah Mahmood

Some people are born indecisive. They base their judgments on what others tell them. Likewise, a lot of their actions are a representative of not what they themselves want to do, but what others expect from them.

The necessity of being accepted is the mother of their though-process. Characteristically weak, such people take refuge in following others, in doing what they might demand of them. Interestingly enough, each of us has these notions to different extents.

What needs to be changed is our approach... towards ourselves as well as others. We need to be proud of what we inherently are than trying to be what we most certainly aren't. Such an attitude however can only be developed once we stop giving importance to those who are judgmental about us and yet possess no feelings of mutual affection towards us.

Additionally, what come into play at this point are our self-styled principles. They could be wrong, they must be improved upon, they must be judged (by ourselves) but they must be followed as long as we believe them to be correct. Obstinacy however, must be avoided at all costs for it leaves no room for improvement.

A piece of advice: Give yourself a chance! Happy Pensiving!
