Winning others!

By Sarah Mahmood

Continuing with the morale-boosting attitudes I was referring to yesterday, another important factor in this regard is an attitude that is demeaning.

Taunting remarks that are actually meant to hurt (and sometimes prove oneself superior over the rest) are but a characteristic of people with 'mental problems'. Of course, these aren't the usual, registered disorders, but a form of psychological sickness characteristic of the individual's very immature thought-process.

It represents their priorities and the lowness of their own character. Free of age-boundaries it can be found in people belonging to all "seven stages of life".

As they say "watch your thoughts, they become words. Watch your words, they become actions. Watch your actions, they become habits. Watch your habits, they become your character. Watch your character, it becomes your destiny," the key to addressing this problem lies in the mind, the thinking of the individual.

So, for all out there who whether intentionally or unintentionally tend to treat others in a humiliating manner, start diagnosing your thoughts; look for the problem up there. Happy trying!
