Gambhir, Dhoni steer India to victory

Gautam Gambhir's 92 and MS Dhoni's cool innings guided India to victory, with two balls to spare, as Australia suffered their first loss in the one-day tri-series in Adelaide.
Chasing Australia's target of 270 runs, the tourists claimed victory with two balls remaining after a stunning last over bowled by Clint McKay. Needing 13 to win off the final over, Ravi Ashwin nudged a single off the second ball as skipper M.S Dhoni took over.
He blasted an enormous 112m six over long-on off the third delivery and was then caught at deep square leg the next ball but unfortunste McKay had been called for a no-ball. Dhoni ended the contest next ball with a three. ''The timing was perfect; we needed it,'' Dhoni said of his astonishing six.
Gautam Gambhir had set the platform for the chase by a fine knock of 92 runs before Dhoni and Suresh Raina took India close with a stand of 61.
McKay was the most effective bowling attack, maintaining a disciplined line and changing his pace but was disappointing in the last over to give away the match.
Peter Forrest scored his debut half-century and David Hussey made briallant 72 runs building Australia's innings after they went down to 3 for 81. Daniel Christian put a handy closing contribution but Yadav and Zaheer Khan, the most effective of India's bowlers, keept the runs down as the hosts scored 269 runs at the end.
