Insanely great visionary

At the time of writing of the last post, Student Angel Mother was graciously informed that former Chief Minister of Pakistan Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, would be distributing free Laptops to the students of "Baha ud Din Zakriya University, Multan". The University is named after a revered Patron Saint of subcontinent!

This kind in direct offering is basically the brain child of the Spiritual Chief Minister of Punjab, Mian Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif. This noble act reflects very profoundly on the great Economist of our time Prof Amartya Sen, the noble prize winner from Cambridge. His masterly researched work "Collective Choice and Social Welfare" is a tribute to every caring human! Thank you. Sir! We add in humbleness, 'that nothing new will ever be created if someone didn't think of it first'.

Speaking on the occasion the former Prime Minister wise to the times "we must see that our students are so trained as to possess proper intellectual skills and emotional attitudes. That they are mentally alert, socially sensitive and sincerely reverent of these values which linkup people into a single fraternity!" We all pray and hope that the students will heed this true and relevant advise.

A Statesman's - that Mian Nawaz Sharif is - final test, after all, is whether he has made a contribution to the well being of mankind. Yes, you have, Sir!! And as for the Chief Minister of Punjab, his world too changed after his illness and his near brush with death! It cleared his mind beautifully. He now knows that fame is a vapour, popularity an accident. The only earthly certainty is oblivion!

SAM hopes and pray that all the other leaders add privileged stand up to serve their conscience, their nation, and mankind. It is never too late. Saint Baha ud din Zakriya "May you rest in peace! Ameen!"
