The m25 Excursion Hit

Surprisingly, the first four hour sight-seeing tour of the congestion-stricken, 117-mile orbital motorway,M25 proved a hit. The tour was actually dreamt up as a publicity stunt for the company's more conventional outings.
The next excursion will begin at Junction 7 and take in sights including the Lakeside shopping centre, Heathrow airport Terminal Five and the Dartford Crossing Bridge.

Day trippers, at a cost of £15 a head, will enjoy views of Cobham, which is set to be the biggest service station in the country, the luxuriant woodland of Epping Forest and the Staines, the birthplace of Ali G and linoleum. Leatherhead will offer the Surrey Sound studios, host to 1980s hits Rick Astley and Sting, while Chorleywood is home to the revolutionary Chorleywood bread-making process.

The trip, which includes complimentary hot drinks and commentary provided by the co-driver, has attracted a diverse range of people.

"We’ve got the anoraks, of course, and we’ve got people who like coaches. We’ve got lots of ladies booking on, which has surprised me. I am going to ask them why they are interested," Mr Ashcroft told The Times.
