Napoli thrash Chelsea in the first leg

Ezequiel Lavezzi celebrates with this team-mates after scoring against Chelsea

The problems for Andrea Villa Boas continued as Chelsea suffered a 3-1 defeat from Napoli in the first leg of the last16 match in Uefa Champions League.
Chelsea had gone infront after 27 minutes. Juan Mata scored the opener when Cannavaro failed to clear the ball and instead teed up Mata, who slotted under the keeper from 14 yards.
Lavezzi struck the equaliser few minutes later to turn the game upside down. He advanced into a shooting position, with Meireles not closing him down, and tried his luck from 25 yards. His shot had enough pace and curl to beat Cech and from that point the game was turned upside down.
Napoli went into lead in the added time of the first half when Cavani got the jump on Ivanovic to meet a superb cross from Cannavaro and sent it past Cech from close range. The decisive touch came off his shoulder
What should have been a routine clearance from David Luiz after 65 minutes allowed the hosts to get into further lead. Luiz's attempt to clear a Carmagno through-ball came back off Cavani as Cech charged out to try to intervene, the striker got there first and knocked it sideways for Lavezzi to fire into an exposed net.

An injury-time goal on his debut by Swedish midfielder Pontus Wernbloom grabbed CSKA Moscow a 1-1 draw with Real Madrid in Russia on Tuesday in their Champions League last 16 first leg match.
A goal from Real forward Cristiano Ronaldo in the 28th minute put the nine-time European Cup winners ahead and they looked set for their seventh successive win in this season's competition until Wernbloom blasted the equalizer
CSKA goalkeeper Sergei Chepchugov pulled off a great double save but he was unable to prevent Ronaldo from opening the scoring, as he drilled home from inside the area after Zoran Tosic failed to clear Fabio Coentrao's cross from the left.
CSKA, who have never lost to a Spanish team before in European competition, poured forward seeking an equaliser and in the third minute of injury time Wernbloom sent tha ball into the net from six yards, converting an Alexei Berezutsky cross from the left.
