An Air Force One flight tape dating back to the day of John F Kennedy's assassination is released by the US National Archives.
The long lost recordings contain 42 minutes of audio which were not included in the original public version.
The tapes include discussion about what to do with the body of the slain president, giving insight into the grief and confusion just after Kennedy was assassinated.
The newly sworn president Lyndon Johnson can also be heard consoling Kennedy's mother Rose Kennedy.
"I wish to God there was something that I could do. And I wanted to tell you that we are grieving with you," says Johnson.
Mrs. Kennedy responds by saying: "Thank you very much. Thank you very much. I know you loved Jack. And he loved you."
A rare documents dealer donated the tapes after obtaining them from the " estate sale of a Kennedy aide" (BBC News).
