Philippines hit by 6.7-magnitude quake

A 6.7 magnitude earthquake hits central Philippines killing at least 7 people including two children.


Dozens of people are reported missing, with the casualties according to some estimates reaching as high as 29.


The epicentre lies 70km north of Dumaguete city on Negros island. The quake struck at 15:49 GMT followed by a series of aftershocks.
