Prince Charles and spouse, the Duchess of Cornwall, lead global celebrations marking Charles Dickens's 200th birth anniversary.
The Prince of Wales paid tribute to the author by placing a wreath on his grave in a service at Westminster Abbey which attracted a large gathering. Readings including those from actor Ralph Fiennes and Dickens's great-great-grandson Mark Dickens were also a part of the service.
The Prince and the Duchess later visited the Charles Dickens museum in Doughy street.
