Skydiver planning highest jump in history

An Austrian skydiver is planning to jump from a height of 36km - the highest skydive in history.

Felix Baumgartner, plans to perform the stunt later this year, by jumping from a balloon 36.5 km up. His suit is going to be similar to that of astronauts, though tougher and more mobile. It is going to be his most important piece of equipment encasing him to maintain air pressure and provide oxygen supply.

Mr. Baumgartner was first tested wearing the suit by recreating pressurized conditions around him. "The suit," he says "does its job."

The fall will be the first to be faster than the speed of sound without the use of any machine.
