City suffers title race shock, Tottenham draw with Chelsea

Manchester City suffered a blow to their Premier League title hopes following draw with Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.

Peter Crouch scored a contender, dipping volley into the far corner from 30 yards, for goal of the season.
Although Yaya TourĂ©’s deflected 30-yard effort on 77 minutes cancelled out Crouch’s 30-yard volley to move City back to the top of the table, Manchester United can move three points clear if they win their game in hand at home to Fulham on Monday evening.

The match between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspurs ended in a goalless draw as Redknapp's side stayed five points clear of the fifth-placed Chelsea.

Spurs produced a disciplined away performance as Tottenham enjoyed the better chances with Rafael van der Vaart and Emmanuel Adebayor both missing virtual open goals.

Earlier Arsenal strengthened their grip on third place in the League with a comfortable 3-0 win over Aston Villa.
The Gunners made it seven straight league wins with first half goals from Kieran Gibbs and Theo Walcott.
Villa rarely threatened with Mikel Arteta cracking in a fine free-kick in stoppage time as Arsenal coasted to victory, putting them three points ahead of Spurs.

Pressure on Kenny Dalglish increased after Liverpool suffered a 1-2 humiliating defeat at home to Wigan Athletic.
