iPhoto for iPad and iPhone

Apple unveiled its new iPad last night. As part of its launch of the new iPad, Apple updated several of its own apps. The iWork suite - Pages, Numbers and Keynote - all received a makeover, as did the iLife apps - GarageBand and iMovie. But Apple took this opportunity to bring its third iLife app to iOS: iPhoto.
The picture editing app will be familiar to all Mac users but iOS users have had to make to with the Photos app. iPhoto is far more powerful than Photos. Apple says has been rebuilt from its foundations to take advantage of the touchscreen computer and it shows.
There are some really powerful image manipulation tools here and yet Apple has made them simple to use thanks to instinctive touchscreen controls. Slide a finger one way brighten an image, for example, and slide the other way to darken it. Or you can use 'brushes' to touch up particular parts of a picture.
Other features include the ability to 'beam' photos between devices, allowing you to take a picture with your iPhone, for example, and send it immediately to your iPad for editing on the bigger screen.

Telegraph.
